Start your day with a delicious twist on traditional breakfast with these Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quesadillas.

Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 large apple, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Add apple slices, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook until apples are tender.
  3. Remove apple mixture and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, place one tortilla, sprinkle half the cheese, add the apple mixture, then top with remaining cheese and another tortilla.
  5. Cook until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
  6. Slice into wedges and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Serve with maple syrup for dipping.
