1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package Saltine crackers
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup chocolate chips

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Pour the mixture over the arranged Saltines, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5-6 minutes until bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let sit for a few minutes, then spread the melted chocolate over the top.
In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar with cinnamon. Sprinkle this over the melted chocolate.
Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces for serving.
Notes
For an extra crunch, you can add chopped nuts to the top before the chocolate layer.
