  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add flour and stir for about a minute to create a roux.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk and continue stirring until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
  5. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and place sliced olives on top to create ghost faces.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
